In response to increasing concerns about COVID-19, on March 25th Mayor Anthony Groves issued an emergency declaration for the City of Brady, effective immediately, for a period of seven days from the date of the declaration. The declaration activates the City of Brady emergency management plan and will assist with federal funding. The declaration also supports the prohibition of gatherings of 10 or more people, as previously declared by the governor. The order does not put any additional measures into place outside of those that Governor Abbott has already declared. There is no shelter in place at this time. Travel within the United States is not currently restricted. Offices and workplaces are allowed to remain open and, should they choose to do so, employees are encouraged to practice good hygiene and work from home when possible. Citizens are asked to please use their best judgment in any situation when they will be interacting in public.
