[ARCHIVED] Stage 1 Water Conservation Plan

AltTextConserving water does not just impact our city, it impacts the world.

⇒Water turf, lawns, gardens and/or ornamental landscaping before 10:00 AM and after midnight.

⇒Wait to launder your belongings until you have a full load. Did you Know! Washing Machines and dishwashers use about the same amount of energy and water regardless of the volume of clothes or dishes inside.

⇒Install rain gauges within your lawn areas in order to measure your watering consumption. http://www.conserveh2o.org/measure-your-sprinklers-water-use-watering-gauges

⇒Discontinue use of sprinkler systems after a rain event.

⇒Choose to plant Texas native drought tolerant shrubs and grasses.

⇒Avoid unnecessary water run-offs; if runs offs are present during your watering cycles, please check sprinkler placement and adjust sprinkler times to shorter periods.

⇒Take shorter showers. Did you Know! Each minute you shave off your shower time saves up to 2.5 gallons of water.

⇒Turn faucets off when brushing your teeth.

Though your participation is voluntary, it is greatly appreciated!
